Born and raised in Riverside, CA, I grew up in a household where music and art were cherished. Early on in my life my parents started their own business: a small vintage store which evolved over the years into several buy/sell/trade clothing stores in southern California. I grew up running through the aisles, hiding in clothing racks and eventually working in and managing one of their stores. There are three DeeLux locations going strong today.
As a teenager I became hooked on rock 'n roll, learned guitar, and became the leader of a band. Over the years I've followed this passion and it's led me all over the world.
Beyond writing, recording, and performing I've always loved creating visuals to coincide with my music. I loved making music videos, creating album art and doing photoshoots; it allowed me to create another persona and be whoever I wanted to be.
In 2016 I moved to L.A. with my sister to continue pursuing music. While adjusting to an artist's lifestyle we decided to try out our business skills and began selling clothes online. We bought a camera, took a photography course, and we ran around the city trying to capture the perfect shot that would make a $8.99 dress from Goodwill look like a million bucks. I became obsessed with curating these shots.
As I continued my career in music I brought my camera on tour and was rewarded with endless inspiration. When I wasn't on the road I was taking one-on-one lessons in studio photography, while honing my personal style with musician friends, local businesses, and fashion designers.
Understanding of the drive to create is what makes my work unique. Creating a whole world from one small spark in my specialty.
Afterall, what is life without creation?
